Got a new seat for my 345, which is larger and heavier than the old one. Nice seat. Thought I would buy some new springs at the same time. I knew these were shorter and wider than the original ones. They came with no hardware and there is no way I can put them on. Nor can I find a parts diagram that shows bolts to hold them. I think they would fit a new model 345 than mine, but can't see a way to get them on my tractor. Any ideas?

The link you provided suggests that the cushion seat springs you purchased should fit a variety different Deere tractors. I searched for some of these models and just seemed to find information for replacing metal springs. However, I did find one video that showed how to install/replace the cushion type you purchased. The pictures seemed to show the same type of mounting that is used for the metal springs on some models.

The plastic foam springs are for newer 345's (70,001 and above) that use a completely different seat assembly.

IIRC, they sort of snap into place without fastener(s).

They won't directly fit the seat you have, and (IMHO) there's no advantage to them except to save the mfg. a few cents when the tractor was built.

No reason to muck with them, send them back and get the correct springs!

Similar (weathered) plastic "spring" on a different DEERE garden tractor showing how it twists/locks in place.

Do your "springs" have tabs like that?

Thanks for the info. No way those springs will fit my tractor. I took a chance for $12 and lost. My older tractor at least looks more rugged frame wise than the picture above. I may try to find a replacement of the correct springs and give them a try.
