About 2 days ago, I posted a question on this site regarding an overpayment notice for $100,000 I received from Social Security disability, due to the winfall provision. I received a swift and helpful reply from a lawyer on your site. TODAY, I discovered an unexpected deposit of $2,100 from Social security into my bank account. The only posted info was "SA TREAS 310 XXSOC SEC PPD". I have NO IDEA what this means, or why it has been put in my account. I sure don't want to accept it if it is a mistake. Can you tell me what that particular code refers to, and what reasons they might have for depositing it in my account?

It's obviously a treasure deposit but beyond that you should contact the SSA to determine why this money was placed into your account.
answers to questions are for general purposes only and do not establish an attorney-client relationship.

Apparently it's a direct deposit code for an SSDI payment. You should follow up with Social Security to confirm it.
The foregoing discussion does not establish an attorney-client relationship, is qualified by the limited facts presented above, and should not be relied upon as legal advice. To obtain definitive legal advice upon which one can rely necessitates retaining an attorney who is qualified in this particular area of the law.
