What minerals are in the pool frog system? ›

+ FROG {Mineral} {System} {Technology} {Formula} consists of the FROG minerals silver chloride and carbonate used with 0.5 ppm of Spa Chlorine Disinfectant. The Pool Frog Mineral Reservoir must be used in conjunction with the Spa Chlorine Disinfectant (EPA Reg. No. 53735-14).

Once removed from the water, the minerals may not be reused the following season. For spas, FROG minerals last 4 months. Simply replace every four months or whenever you drain and fill your spa.

Every FROG product for hot tubs has a Mineral Cartridge that lasts four months. If you should drain your hot tub prior to that, you would need to use a new Mineral Cartridge.

It's a prefilled Cartridge full of active FROG Minerals and works with the Pool FROG Bac Pac to kill bacteria completely. In addition to killing bacteria, it absorbs acids, helps keep pH balanced and conditions the water for softness.

When the cartridge is empty, the FROG @ease Test Strip Out Indicator on the back of your test strip bottle will let you know! You will know that the SmartChlor Cartridge needs to be preplaced when the test strip color will be lighter than the single-color image on the bottle.

Water treated by Nature2 actually exceeds EPA drinking water standards with respect to bacteria, silver and copper, so your pool water may actually be cleaner than the water you drink. The low level of minerals in Nature2 are also safe in ponds and fountains.

The unique FROG @ease system self-regulates so it only adds chlorine as needed. That's why we recommend using FROG Maintain once a month or when replacing your SmartChlor^® Cartridge.

Another method is to use a chemical barrier around the pool to repel frogs. Frogs hate citric acid (like common lemon juice) so spray a solution around the pool to keep them away. Spraying with a vinegar solution will also keep them away.
