I feel like everyone is obsessed with gluten-free diet and don’t know all the facts about it. You all should know that just because it’s gluten free it doesn’t mean it’s healthy for you, unless you’re a person with a gluten allergy or with celiac disease. Since a gluten-free diet can lack many vitamins and minerals essential to the body. But overall these are some good recipe ideas, especially the vegan pumpkin ice cream & vegan pumpkin cheesecake pops – I can’t wait to try these out of course with a little adjustment to them!

M – I encourage you to check out my website tasty-yummies.com. I am not eating gluten-free as a fad diet and I am not obsessed with it. I have been gluten-free nearly 9 years. I have a gluten intolerance and it makes me very ill if I consume it, even in the smallest amounts. This series with Free People has been a way for me to share all of my HEALTHY naturally gluten-free recipes with their readers, who also might be dealing with the same issues I am.

M.,

Gluten free is actually a very healthy process for the body. Most people, however, do not how to go about it properly. When you cut out wheat byproducts, you are able to replace the “bad” flour with coconut , almond, or even hazelnut flour. However, some of the other options are just as damaging in regards to carb intake as well as effects on the digestive tract. That is one really good reason for people t cleanse themselves from gluten because it actually builds in your system and cannot be broken down easily by your body. In reality it can take a number of months for gluten to be completely cleared out of your system, which is a LONG TIME. Even a juicing cleanse takes less time to patch up your digestive system than that!

The important thing to do is to become aware and very careful of what consumer products you purchase, regardless if your goal is to become completely gluten free, or even just eat less of it in your daily lifestyle. However most companies cannot be trusted any more. The best way to ensure what is in your food is to make it!
